Inscription: “FROM DEATH TO LIFE / FELL AT HOOGE”

Son of F. B. and Mary Ann Taylor Hallowes, of Dan-y-Ffynnon, Port Talbot, Glamorgan

Rupert Hallowes is also commemorated on the family grave in Plot 84 at Brookwood Cemetery.           

Hallowes' Victoria Cross is displayed at the National Army Museum, Chelsea, London.
